Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. DeepCura is a web application that runs in your browser. No software installation is required. You can optionally add it to your home screen as a PWA on mobile devices.
What happens if I run out of credits?
When your credit balance reaches zero, credit-consuming features (AI Scribe, AI Receptionist, fax, SMS) are paused until credits are replenished. Free features like viewing notes, editing, team chat, and the provider network continue to work normally. Credits replenish at the start of each billing cycle, or you can purchase additional credits from Settings > Billing.
Can I use DeepCura with any specialty?
Yes. DeepCura's template system is specialty-agnostic. You can create or import templates for any medical specialty, from family medicine to orthopedic surgery. The Template Marketplace in the Provider Network also has community-shared templates for many specialties.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. All data is stored on AWS DynamoDB with automatic backups and replication. Your notes, templates, and settings are securely stored and accessible from any device.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Notes can be exported as PDFs with your practice branding. Transcripts can be exported as text. You can download individual notes from within the note editor, or use bulk export if available on your plan.
Does DeepCura work offline?
No. DeepCura requires an active internet connection for AI processing, real-time transcription, and data sync. If you lose connection mid-recording, the audio is held locally and processed when the connection is restored.
Can multiple providers share one account?
No. Each provider should have their own DeepCura account. However, providers in the same practice can be organized under a shared workspace using the Team Members feature. This gives each provider their own notes, templates, and settings while sharing billing and administrative control.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. DeepCura has iOS and Android apps available. The mobile app supports recording, note review, and core features. Some advanced features are optimized for the desktop browser experience.
Can I try DeepCura before subscribing?
Yes. Every new account receives 30 free credits — no credit card required, no time limit. The free trial gives full access to all features within the credit allocation.
How does DeepCura handle HIPAA compliance?
DeepCura operates on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. Audio is processed through secure channels and is not stored after transcription is complete. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available for enterprise subscribers.
