- How the responsive web app works across devices
DeepCura on Mobile
DeepCura is a responsive web application, which means you can use it on any device with a modern web browser — including your iPhone, Android phone, or tablet. There is no separate app store download required. Simply navigate to app.deepcura.com in your mobile browser and log in.
The interface automatically adapts to your screen size:
- Phone — The layout stacks vertically, with the sidebar becoming a collapsible menu. Recording, note generation, and all core features work the same as on desktop.
- Tablet — The layout uses a slightly condensed version of the desktop view, showing the sidebar alongside the main content area.
Progressive Web App (PWA)
On both Android and iOS, you can add DeepCura to your home screen as a Progressive Web App. This gives you:
- An app icon on your home screen for quick access
- A full-screen experience without the browser address bar
- Faster load times after the first visit
To add to your home screen:
- iOS (Safari) — Tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen."
- Android (Chrome) — Tap the three-dot menu, then "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App."
Native iOS App
The DeepCura iOS app is your go-to tool for quick, on-the-go patient updates — right from your phone.
Available for free on the iOS App Store, the app allows you to quickly add patient updates while on rounds and record directly from your phone.
Step 1: Explore the App Layout
The app is organized into four simple sections:
- New Patient (PX)
- Existing Patient (PX)
- Templates
- Settings
Step 2: Choose Your Template
Navigate to the Templates page and select the template you want. These templates are the ones you've already customized on the web platform.
Step 3: Select or Add Patient
Choose an existing patient or create a new one.
Step 4: Record & Generate
Press record. After you're done, the note will begin generating automatically.
Do not close the app for 2 minutes while the note is being generated. Keep your screen on during recording — disable Low Power Mode or extend your screen timeout settings. You can still continue using the app and generating additional notes while the process runs in the background.
Step 5: View Your Generated Note
Once completed, your note will be available on your DeepCura web page.
Apple Watch
DeepCura does not have a standalone Apple Watch app, but you can use Voice Memos on your Apple Watch to record notes and seamlessly transfer them to your iPhone for processing in DeepCura.

Multi-Device Workflow
Because DeepCura is web-based, your data is synchronized across all devices in real time. Common multi-device workflows include:
- Record on phone, review on desktop — Start a recording on your phone during a patient encounter, then switch to your desktop to review and edit the generated note.
- Record on Apple Watch, manage on phone — Use Voice Memos on your watch to record hands-free, then drag the audio into DeepCura on your phone or desktop to generate the note.
All notes, templates, and settings are stored in the cloud and accessible from any device where you log in.
Mobile Recording Tips
- Grant microphone permissions — When recording on mobile for the first time, your browser prompts for microphone access. Make sure to allow it.
- Keep the screen active — Some mobile browsers may throttle background tabs. Keep the DeepCura tab active during recording for best results.
- Use a good connection — Recording quality depends on a stable internet connection. Wi-Fi is preferable to cellular in low-signal areas.
- Use headphones — For clearer audio capture in noisy environments, consider using a headset or earbuds with a built-in microphone.
