Starting July 2026, existing DeepCura users see a one-time acceptance screen when they sign in. This article explains what it is, why it appears, and what changed. New accounts accept the current Terms at signup and won't see it.
📋 What the screen is
Our Terms of Service were updated on July 15, 2026, and we ask every existing user to review and accept the updated Terms once. It's a short, three-step walkthrough: what's new, why the Terms changed, and our privacy commitments — with a link to the full Terms. After you accept, you won't see it again.
🧬 What's new: verified clinical codes
DeepCura now verifies every AI-proposed clinical code — diagnoses, medications, labs, allergies, procedures — against current official releases of the standard clinical vocabularies (ICD-10-CM, SNOMED CT®, LOINC®, RxNorm, and CPT®) before it can reach a patient's record. A suggested code that doesn't verify is refused rather than written.
Some of these vocabularies are licensed. The updated Terms (Section 18) cover your use of licensed code sets inside DeepCura, including CPT®, which is licensed from the American Medical Association.
🔒 What this means for your data — and what it doesn't
- License reporting includes organization information only — practice name, location, and provider count. Never patient data.
- Our commitment is unchanged: patient data, including de-identified data, is never sold to third parties.
- The updated Terms also reflect our current retention policy for visit recordings and source documents (retained by default for at least 7 years, with an opt-out) — this is what keeps evidence links on AI-suggested facts working years later.
