What You'll Learn
- All seven tabs in the Settings page and what each controls
- How to manage your account profile and integrations
- Where to configure billing, security, and legal settings
The Settings Page
The Settings page is your comprehensive configuration hub. Navigate to it from the left sidebar. The page uses a modern tabbed interface with seven tabs: Account, Security, Integrations, Custom Domain, Tags, Billing, and Legal.
Tab 1: Account
The Account tab manages your personal profile information. Here you update:
- Your display name and contact details
- Phone or fax number (validated on save)
- Practice information and specialty
- Profile preferences
After making changes, click the Save button in the footer to persist them. Phone and fax numbers are validated to ensure they are in the correct format.
Changing Your Account Email Address
To migrate your account to a new email address, create a new account with the new email and then add your old account as a team member. This transfers all notes and templates seamlessly without any data loss.
Step 1: Sign Up with Your New Email
Go to the DeepCura Sign Up page and create a new account using your new email address.
Step 2: Add Your Old Account to the New Account
Inside the new account you just created:
- In the left sidebar, go to Teams > Enterprise Team.
- Click Initialize Default Departments.
- Under Medical Staff, click Assign Member and add yourself.
- Enter your old email address.
- Click Advanced Permissions and select All Notes and All Templates so everything is shared.
Step 3: Accept the Invite from Your Old Account
- Log out of DeepCura.
- Log back in using your old email account.
- In the left sidebar, go to Teams > Enterprise Team.
- Accept the coworker invitation.
Once complete, all your notes, templates, and resources are available under your new email account.
Tab 2: Security
The Security tab is where you configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). DeepCura supports MFA through your AWS Cognito account. Enabling MFA adds an extra layer of protection beyond your password, which is especially important for healthcare accounts that handle PHI.
Tab 3: Integrations
The Integrations tab provides an Integrations Hub where you connect DeepCura with your existing clinical tools. From here you can configure:
- EHR connections — Connect to Epic, your EHR, eClinicalWorks, Athena, AdvancedMD, Charm Health, Cerner, Optimantra, and Tajemo (OpenEMR).
- Google Workspace — Link your Gmail for email integrations.
- Calendar integrations — Sync appointments with your scheduling system.
Each integration has its own setup flow, typically involving OAuth authorization or API credential entry.
Tab 4: Custom Domain
The Custom Domain tab lets you configure a custom domain for your DeepCura-powered services. This is useful for practices that want patient-facing features (like the AI Receptionist or pre-chat forms) to appear under their own brand domain rather than the default DeepCura URL.
Tab 5: Tags
The Tags tab manages your note tagging system. Tags help you organize and categorize clinical notes. You can:
- Create custom tags for different visit types, departments, or categories
- Edit or remove existing tags
- Set up tag colors for visual organization
You can manually apply these tags to your notes for organization and filtering.
Tab 6: Billing
The Billing tab provides access to your Billing Settings. From here you can:
- View your current subscription plan and credit balance
- Manage billing seats and see volume discount tiers
- Update payment methods
- View invoicing history
- Upgrade or change your subscription plan
Tab 7: Legal
The Legal tab provides access to all legal documentation, including:
- Business Associate Agreement (BAA) — Required for HIPAA compliance
- Terms of Service
- Privacy Policy
- Other compliance documentation relevant to your jurisdiction
We recommend that every admin review these documents before deploying DeepCura across their practice.
Deep Linking to Tabs
You can link directly to any specific tab using URL parameters. For example, navigating to the Settings page with ?tab=billing opens the Billing tab directly. The valid tab keys are: account, security, integrations, domain, tags, billing, legal.
Quick Tips
- Set up MFA in the Security tab as your first action after account creation.
- Connect your EHR in the Integrations tab to enable one-click note upload from the note toolbar.
