Module 4, Lesson 1
Prerequisites: Lesson 3.5 — Merging & Archiving Patients
Estimated time: 6 minutes
What You'll Learn
- Identify all nine AI agents available in DeepCura
- Understand how agents share the unified credit system
- Decide which agents to activate first for your practice
Your Digital Workforce
DeepCura's sidebar contains an Agents section that houses nine specialized AI agents. Each agent handles a distinct domain of clinical practice operations -- from answering phone calls to generating marketing websites. Together, they form a coordinated digital workforce that operates alongside your clinical team.
All agents share a single credit pool tied to your account. When any agent performs a billable action (making a phone call, generating a document, sending a fax), credits are deducted from this shared balance. You can monitor your remaining credits in the sidebar.
The Nine Agents
1. AI Receptionist
A voice-based agent that handles inbound and outbound phone calls for your practice. It answers patient calls, books appointments, collects information, and follows custom scripts you define. Think of it as a 24/7 front desk that never misses a call.
2. AI Nurse
A patient-facing intake agent that collects pre-visit information through public links. You create intake templates, generate shareable URLs, and patients interact with the AI Nurse via chat (with optional voice) to provide their medical history, symptoms, and consent forms before their appointment.
3. AI Billing
Manages patient payments through Stripe integration. You can define services and fees, send payment links, create invoices, set up recurring subscriptions, and view payment analytics. The agent supports multiple payment sources including the AI Receptionist and AI Nurse.
4. AI Tasks
A task management system where the AI Scribe automatically generates follow-up tasks from clinical encounters. You can view, edit, assign, filter, and export tasks. Tasks track status (to-do, in progress, done), deadlines, and assignees.
5. AI Comms Hub
A unified communications center with four channels: AI Fax (inbound/outbound fax with AI summarization), AI Email (inbound/outbound email with AI-generated drafts), AI Phone (call logs from the AI Receptionist), and AI SMS (text messaging). All communications are linked to patient records.
6. DeepEvidentia
A clinical research assistant that connects you with peer-reviewed medical literature. You select journals from a curated database spanning dozens of specialties, and the AI searches PubMed to find relevant clinical evidence for your questions. It acts as a real-time research librarian.
7. AI Visualizer
Transforms patient data into beautiful, interactive visualizations. You select a patient, choose a visualization style (patient letter, dashboard, timeline, analytics, or clinical evidence mode), and the AI generates a rich HTML document. These can be used for patient education materials, clinical summaries, or presentation-ready reports.
8. AI Forms
Handles PDF form automation. Upload a PDF template (intake forms, consent forms, insurance forms), and the AI detects all fillable fields. You can then fill forms using voice dictation or text input, and the AI maps your spoken information to the correct fields. This eliminates manual form filling.
9. AI Marketing
Generates complete practice marketing websites. You provide your practice name, specialty, services, hours, and branding preferences, and the AI creates a full web page. You can preview across desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports, iterate with natural-language feedback, generate custom images, and publish directly to a live URL.
Credit Sharing
All agents draw from the same credit balance. This means you do not need separate budgets for different features. Your credits are consumed based on the complexity of each action -- a phone call costs one credit, a document generation may cost more. The sidebar always shows your current balance.
Getting Started
You do not need to activate all nine agents at once. Many practices start with the AI Scribe (covered in Module 1), then add the AI Receptionist for phone handling and AI Tasks for automated follow-ups. As your team grows comfortable, you can expand to the Comms Hub, Billing, and other agents. The following lessons cover each agent in detail.
