After a few patient encounters, DeepCura starts learning from how you edit your notes. It recognizes your style, structure, and cleanup habits, then suggests template changes to reduce repeated work.Â
You’ll always see the suggested edits first, along with the exact notes they were based on. Nothing changes unless you approve it.

đź“ť What edits does it recognize?
The AI picks up on repeated manual corrections, such as:
- Deleting phrases like "not discussed" or "date not provided"
- Moving content into the correct SOAP section
- Getting rid of irrelevant defaults, like “lungs clear” in a psych note.
The goal is simple: reduce the edits you always make manually.
⚙️ Control how often suggestions appear
To readjust frequency or completely disable template optimization:
- Go to Settings > Automation Rules
- Scroll down to AI Template Optimization Agent Settings
- Select your preferred frequency
Options include Disabled, Low (25 edits), Medium (10 edits), or High (5 edits, recommended).
You can always reject a suggestion or disable AI Optimizations fully here, in the settings.
↩️ Revert back to the previous version of your template
If you're unhappy with the AI suggestions that you accepted, no worries: you can revert back to previous versions of your template.
- Go to Templates
- Find the template you want to revert
- Click on the Version History icon
- Choose the red anticlockwise refresh button labeled Rollback to this version
đź“Š Analytics: Track your editing patterns
Analytics help you see where optimization is most useful, including:
- Types of edits you make most often
- Which templates are getting the most corrections
- How much time you save on optimized templates
🧠Use the AI Template Teacher for Instant Fixes
Unlike optimization suggestions that appear based on your usage patterns, the AI Template Teacher reacts instantly to your description of a problem and proposes direct fixes you can review and apply.
If you notice your template isn’t behaving as expected (e.g., missing data fields, incorrect header spacing), you can instantly troubleshoot it using the AI Template Teacher.
How to use it:
Go to Templates and scroll to the one you want to fix.
Click the AI Troubleshoot Assistant icon next to the template name.
In the pop-up, describe clearly what’s wrong and what result you expect.Â
Example: “My diagnosis section appears after the lab table instead of before it.”
Click Analyze. The AI will propose a patch and show you the differences side-by-side.
Click Accept to apply the changes, then test your template to confirm.
