Mental health professionals often face issues with long session recordings, especially when they exceed 60 minutes. The problem arises when either the recording itself is too long or the template you’re using is too complex. This can result in timeouts, causing interruptions in your workflow. But there’s a solution!
The Fix: Split the Task into 3 Steps
-
Step 1: Transcribe and Keep It Simple
Use a simple prompt: “Make a short summary of this transcript.”
This will lighten the load for the AI, and it will work even with 90-minute recordings.
Don’t worry about the generated note for now. In the following steps, we will be using the pure transcript.
-
Important: Delete the existing recording from the text bar to proceed with the pure transcript.
This step ensures that only the pure transcript is used in the next phase.
-
Step 3: Generate Note from Transcript
Press the button "Generate AI documents from this specific transcript" as shown in the image below.
Choose your preferred template, and voila! You now have your note ready to go.
This way you'll only be processing the text, not the heavy 90 minutes of audio, which can cause slowdowns.
We're working on refining the process further, but this is a critical fix to ensure a smoother workflow for now.
