Follow the step below to integrate with OpenEMR
-
Step 1: Set Up the API Client Application
Go to Admin System API Clients in your OpenEMR (Tajemo). Create a new application. Add the Redirect URI and Launch URI as required by DeepCura. Ensure the application is marked as Confidential.
Pro Tip: Collaborate with your IT manager for technical support during this process.
-
Step 2: Generate Client ID and Secret
Upon application creation, you’ll receive a Client ID and a Secret value. In DeepCura’s integration settings, select your EHR (Tajemo) and input the Client ID and Secret value. Keep these credentials secure. Do not share them publicly!
-
Step 3: Authenticate the Connection
After submitting the credentials, log in to OpenEMR when prompted to grant DeepCura access. This final login confirms and secures the connection.
-
Step 4: Prepare Patient Records
Ensure the patient’s most recent encounter is empty if you're testing the integration. Delete old test data or encounters if needed to avoid conflicts.
-
Step 5: Push Notes to OpenEMR
Launch the DeepCura application created during setup. Log in and select the Push to EHR option. DeepCura will transfer notes directly to the last patient encounter.
Note: The process typically completes within 10 seconds.
-
Step 6: Verify Integration Success
Check the patient’s last encounter in OpenEMR to confirm the note was added successfully. If the note appears as expected, your integration is complete.
